**Construction Notice**

Due to the proposed construction of ADA paved pathways, the Gilpin house property is scheduled to be closed to the public beginning on October 20. Additionally, our 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM Friday and Saturday tours of the Gilpin house will be affected once construction begins. Anticipated timeframe for this part of the project is approximately 4 weeks. After completion at the Gilpin house property, construction will move to Washington’s Headquarters for approximately 3 weeks. Please visit the website, follow our social media channels, or call the site in advance at 610-459-3342 for schedule updates. The goal of the project is to provide those with mobility challenges the ability to access our site. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Guided Battlefield Tours

As our park only occupies the site of the continental encampment prior to the battle, Brandywine Battlefield offers battlefield tours. Brandywine Battlefield does not have tour buses, so groups must furnish their own transportation. Visitors arriving by bus have the opportunity to have a site interpreter board the bus and show them the major landmarks dotting the battlefield. Guided tours require a reservation two weeks in advance and are subject to staff and volunteer availability. To arrange a tour please email bolex@pa.gov.

Guided Battlefield Tours must have a reservation no sooner than two weeks ahead of their intended visit date. Call for details and pricing.

Military Staff Rides

Staff Rides for military personnel by our guides cover terrain, troop disposition and maneuver, strategy, communications, leadership, intelligence, and the fog of war. Tours last around one and a half hours. Museum tours can also be incorporated to the beginning or end of the tour. Email bolex@pa.gov to arrange a tour.
